The VR Limited was a late 1995 edition for the Japanese market. This special version of the Roadster was offered in two different colour schemes known as Combination A and Combination B.
Based on the later series two 1.8 model, the VR Limited had the 16-bit engine management and produced 130ps at 6500rpm. All cars had a 5-speed manual gearbox and a Torsen brand LSD with a 4.3 final drive. There were also Bilstein dampers, a front suspension tower brace, and 15" 6J alloy wheels with Bridgestone Potenza RE010 tyres in size 195/50/15.
The two exterior colours available were Artvin Red Mica and Excellent Green Mica, both give a sophisticated and upmarket impression. Combination A (the red one) was given a tan soft top and taupe leather seats with an embroided 'Roadster' logo on the headrest. The green Combination B model came with a matching dark green soft top and a black leather interior, also with an embroidered logo headrest.
The interior trim level on both cars was quite high and included a Momo 4-spoke steering wheel, stainless sill plates with 'Roadster' logo, stainless door speaker covers, headrest speakers, an aluminium gear knob, aluminium handbrake handle and button, and a gear surround trim piece featuring the 'Eunos' logo.
When compared to the other special models, the VR Limited stands out as one of the better ones thanks to the generous specification. Production of this model was limited to 700 Combination A and 800 Combination B.
