Adam's Sunlight Silver NC

Adam's car is a 2007 model finished in metallic Sunlight Silver. Having owned this car for 3 years, Adam has added many aftermarket parts to customise the MX-5's style and performance.

The exterior benefits from the rare Mazdaspeed front and rear bumpers. The front feature a larger grille opening and overall more aggressive appearance. The underside of this rear bumper has an integrated diffuser style trim which allows plenty of clearance for large exhausts. The sideskirts are the optional appearance package parts from Mazda's accessory catalogue.

Along with genuine factory styling parts, Adam has also added Garage Vary headlamp eyelids and ducktail rear spoiler, and some windscreen wiper arms from AutoExe. The headlights have been modified with black painted inner trim and removal of the orange indicator lens. There is also an HID conversion using parts from the RX-8.

Inside are some very tasteful additions such as the custom gauge faces combined with stainless trim pieces by ArtWorks Dewa. The instrument cowl has been given a custom suede covering. Mazda's factory steering wheel has been replaced with the flat-bottom version from AutoExe with extra grip mouldings and red stitching. An adjustable height gearshift knob also by AutoExe has been fitted. Custom red seatbelts add some colour contrast to the interior and work well with the AutoExe details.

As this MX-5 gets used in various track events, there are several performance upgrades to improve both power and handling. The stock suspension has been removed and replaced with premium Ohlins DFV adjustable coilover units. Both front and rear anti-roll bars have been swapped for stronger Whiteline parts and there is additional bracing to the front and rear by HKS Kansai and Carbing. The wheels are the popular Enkei RP-F1 model in 17x9 with an offset of +45. Yokohama Advan AD08R tyres are fitted all round in size 235/40/17 giving plenty of grip. A custom wheel alignment by Spinning Wheel ensures this MX-5 handles well on road & track.

Other performance modifiations include a 4.1 final drive from a USA model, Hawk HPS brake pads with DBA slotted discs, full Goodwin Racing exhaust system with Roadstersport Q muffler, MotoEast cold air intake, and an ECU remap by Targa Racing.
