Mazda MX-5 Trilogy

Mazda MX-5 Trilogy
The MX-5 Trilogy was a special edition model for the UK and European markets that arrived late in 2002. The car was based on a standard 5-speed 1.8 S-VT model and was marketed in collaboration with the De Beers diamond company. Trilogy's name comes from traditional trilogy rings set with three diamonds said to represent the past, present, and future. The name is stylised as "Tr⋮logy" with a vertical ellipsis symbol replacing the "i".

Trilogy was given a premium colour theme of Brilliant Black paintwork, luxury light grey Medici leather seats, and highly polished 15" wheels and interior trim. The unique seats feature the Tr⋮logy branding on the headrest, which is also seen on the stainless sill plates.

A two-tone Nardi steering wheel is fitted along with a matching leather handbrake handle, gear knob, and door panel trim. The chrome trim radio and gear surround featured a unique numbered engraving showing the model number out of the 333 available in the UK. Trilogy owners also received a sterling silver keyring set with three 0.25 carat diamonds from De Beers.
