Forza Horizon 2 MX-5 DLC

Mazda MX-5 Forza Horizon 2 DLC
Xbox One players will soon get the chance to drive the new MX-5 which makes its digital debut in Forza Horizon 2 on March 17th. The new DLC pack for the hit racing game was announced today and will be made available to gamers free of charge. The content consists of four highly detailed cars, one from each generation, representing 25 years of the MX-5.

The star of the show is of course the 2016 model, which is driveable months before we can get our hands on the real thing. The other cars are a 1990 model with the roof down, a 2005 Mazdaspeed turbo model shown with optional headlight trim and also with the roof down, and finally 2010's Super20 concept from that year's SEMA show. The detailing on each looks fantastic and they should be a lot of fun to take for a spin through some of Forza's stunning scenery.

The DLC announcement coincides with the SXSW Gaming Expo which is happening this weekend in Austin, Texas. Here you can be amongst the first to drive these cars in the game as Mazda will be there with their own booth and driving simulators to promote the DLC and the new model.

Within the game there will also be a competition to win an actual 2016 MX-5 by taking part in a time trial event called "Mazda MX-5 Challenge". If, unlike me, you're actually any good at Forza you could be in with chance by setting a hot lap around the Sisteron Perimeter Sprint Track driving the 2016 MX-5. The two fastest drivers will then proceed to a head to head showdown in LA this coming June, with the winner driving away in a brand new MX-5 before it is available in dealerships.

Better get practicing!
